Voce is a speech synthesis and recognition library that is cross-platform, accessible from Java and C++, and has a very small API. It uses CMU Sphinx4 and FreeTTS internally. "Voce" is Italian for "voice" (pronounciation).
Voce has been used in many software development projects, especially within the VRAC. For example, it has been successfully integrated into a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) command and control simulation, in which the user can select and direct swarms of simulated unmanned aerial vehicles via voice commands.
